TOWER DISTRICT STREETSCAPE

MW Steele Group was commissioned by the City of Fresno and Tower District Community to develop a streetscape plan for the Tower District in Fresno, California. Working with the community, MW Steele Group was asked to identify and design streetscape furniture, gateways, key intersections, sidewalks and even small plazas. These were incorporated in a final report and street improvement program for a historic, “mom and pop” commercial area that is home to landmark buildings, such as the Tower Theater (built in the 1939). Active participation and leadership of locals in the area helped take the Tower District to greater heights.
