22ND STREET LOFTS

22nd Street Lofts is an affordable housing development for seniors, age 62 and older. Located on a 9,508 SF infill site in the heart of downtown Bakersfield. the project aims to serve the vulnerable population of seniors by providing housing in the up-and-coming area. The building is 22, 996 SF and provides 20 one-bedroom apartments as well as community amenity spaces such as a community room with computer stations, fitness room and laundry facilities.
The building is divided into 3 levels, with the ground level encompassing a Type 1-A enclosed parking garage and residential amenity functions. The 2 stories above will be Type V-A residential that will house the (20) 520 SF units within an open-air circulation path. This project will be Net-Zero Energy and Green Point Rated, with a central water heating system, and will have a solar photovoltaic panel system designed to be incorporated on top of the roof.
