Completed in 1998, the Learning Resource Center provides more than 100,000 SF of new space for Mesa Community College’s Library and Independent Learning Center. Sited at the edge of a canyon in the center of the existing campus, this building is the largest single facility ever developed by the California Community College System. In addition to individual and group study areas, the building also houses video production facilities for educational media used throughout the campus.

M.W. Steele Group assisted in preparing the Capital Outlay Budget Proposal for the project which included extensive programming with multiple users, participation in community college workshops, development of schematic design and detailed cost estimates.  Containing over 80,000 SF of computer access flooring, the Learning Resource Center accommodates state-of-the-art data and communications capabilities.
