M.W. Steele Group is part of a very diverse community in San Diego.   As a team we have many interests and support these in time and monies, from the many events benefitting local universities and non-profits, architectural and planning events (like San Diego Architectural Foundation's Orchids and Onions, AIA),  local community organizations (Barrio Station and Family Health Centers of San Diego), and specific groups focused on the mentoring of students (ACE Mentors San Diego). Our staff also spends their free time volunteering at Habitat for Humanity, Our Lady of Rosary and SDSU Ultimate Frisbee.

2017 PARTNER HIGHLIGHT

 

Family Health CenterIn an effort to give back to the community, we didn't have to look any further than right across the street to our neighbors, the Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD). FHCSD is a non-profit health care clinic centered in the heart of Barrio Logan.

 

We were drawn to their dedication and efforts on behalf of healthcare and education for our community. We were especially inpressed with the adult and pediatric healthcare programs they provide to the homeless and low income families within Barrio Logan. As a sponsor we wanted to do our part to help ensure this proven organization continues to strive for the community. In partnership with Front Porch, we will be offering light snacks and drinks poolside at the award winning Wesley Palms Retirement Community.  This tour will include a discussion of the history behind this beautiful site and the mid-century modern inspired design that drove the new redevelopment of the property. The design team will provide a tour of the site and a sneak peek into a newly remodeled unit.

Archtoberfest BARRIO LOGAN CAR SHOW

 

Date/Time:  October 16th, 2016 @10 am - 4 pm

Archtoberfest BARRIO ART CRAWL

 

Date/Time:  October 8th, 2016  8:00 am - 5:00 pm

 

Barrio art crawl  is an all ages 1-DAY free event held every second saturday of the month. Local art galleries, studios and business owners HOST INDEPENDENT EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE DAY.  Information on the galleries, artists and local members that will be participating this Archtoberfest event will be provided soon.  Please check back for details.
