Yokohl Ranch Town Center
As part of an Area Development Plan for Yokohl Ranch, MW Steele Group was charged with creating a visionary plan, design guidelines, and implementation standards for the Yokohl Ranch Town Center. Yokohl Ranch is currently a 36,000 acre cattle ranch in the foothills of the Sierra Mountain range and Sequoia National Park, near Visalia, California.
The plan for the Town Center envisions a mixed-use village as a dynamic activity center for the community. Located centrally in a broad valley, flanked by foothills and focusing on a Yokohl Creek, the Town Center will be oriented to take advantage of existing views while preserving and integrating existing natural features. The Town Center will include a range of denser housing types as well as a civic center, middle school, country club house, small hotel, health center, retail uses and restaurants all focused on a pedestrian-oriented public open space.
