Vista Diego site
Vista Diego is a mixed-use project on an infill site in San Diego with ten market-rate units, one designated affordable unit, two partially subterranean parking levels, and approximately 3,700 sf of storefront retail space. The site is a narrow, triangular shape, which is relatively flat on along the western street front and significantly sloped along the eastern street front. There are view opportunities to the west toward San Diego Bay and to the south toward downtown San Diego. The design challenges included addressing the narrow, triangular shape, the steep slope on one side of the site, the view opportunities, parking access, and balancing the commercial aspects of San Diego Avenue with the residential character of California Street.
