The Mills at Cortez Hill
The Mills at Cortez Hill is a full block residential development located at the edge of downtown San Diego. It is within close walking distance to both the trolley and city bus systems as well as to regional heavy rail service to San Diego’s coastal cities. A locally dedicated historic site, the Mills House was designed by notable architects Hebbard and Gilll. It has been maintained and renovated as a leasing office and public amenity to the residences.
MW Steele Group designed a new building with 133 residential apartments and 3,200 SF of commercial lease space located off 6th Avenue. A local grocery store currently occupies the commercial space. Parking for the project is provided in three terraced levels of subterranean parking. There are a total of 188 parking spaces with two separate garage entrances.
