The Hacienda
This 70,000 SF, three-story office building was patterned after “El Mortero,” a hacienda in Durango, Mexico built in the mid-1680’s and restored in the late 1970’s. The central patio plan is an authentic design feature of Spanish Colonial architecture and creates a unique lush internal focus that offers a momentary respite from the day’s business. Native materials and building components were crafted in Mexico and imported for use in the Hacienda in order to maintain authenticity.
