JAI BY WOLFGANG PUCK & BENCH AT POTIKER THEATERHOSPITALITY

JAI by WOLFGANG PUCK

Jai by Wolfgang Puck was a tenant improvement for a new 4,700 sf restaurant within the Theatre District on the campus of the University of California San Diego. The Asian fusion-inspired restaurant features indoor and outdoor dining spaces, a full bar, and a state of the art catering kitchen. The main dining room also provides the flexibility to be used during the school year to allow for cabaret performances operated by the La Jolla Playhouse.

The south portion of the restaurant houses a café space, the main dining room (with full bar), a private dining area, and outdoor dining. The full height storefront glazing in the dining room and café allow the occupants to view the nearby Eucalyptus grove. At night, the space transforms into a transparent box with all of the theatrics expected of a restaurant set in the Theatre district. The modern interiors and furnishings are the result of a collaborative effort with interior designer Martin Vahtra of Projects Design Associates.
