Cambridge Square is a residential development consisting of 34 condominiums units in San Diego. The design for this project distributes the units into two buildings; a two-story row of townhouse units fronting Third Avenue, and a four-story “U” shaped building facing Nutmeg Street. Both buildings sit over a subterranean parking structure which provides two parking spaces per unit. The garage is accessed from 4th Avenue to minimize the traffic impacts on the quieter more residential streets.
The project is a modern interpretation of an existing structure on the site which was built in the early 1900’s in the Tudor Revival style with an arts & crafts influence.
